An Indian student hailing from Hyderabad tragically died of cardiac arrest while studying in Canada, informed Telangana-based Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT) party leader Amjad Ullah Khan on social media on Friday.

The student, identified as Shaik Muzammil Ahmed (25), was pursuing a Master’s degree in IT at Conestoga College, Waterloo Campus in Kitchener City, Ontario.

Taking to X, Khan said that Ahmed’s family has reached out to External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, urging assistance in repatriating his mortal remains to Hyderabad.

According to Khan, Ahmed had been battling fever for the past week. However, his family received the shocking news of his demise through a call from Ahmed’s friend, citing cardiac arrest as the cause.
